Assessments & Development Insights
Get the insight you need to understand what is happening, where growth is needed, and what to do next.
Assessment can provide a powerful starting point for development, but the right assessment depends on the question you're trying to answer.
Are you working to better understand how a leader is experienced by others? Strengthen emotional intelligence? Explore behavioural preferences? Understand how someone responds to conflict? Assess how a leader adapts to different situations? Or understand the dynamics and maturity of a team or organization?
The right insight shapes meaningful change.
ViRTUS uses a range of validated assessments and proprietary tools to create meaningful insight at the individual, team, and organizational level. We then help translate that insight into practical development, action, and sustained behaviour change.
Our Assessment Toolkit
-
Leadership Circle Profile 360®
A multi-rater assessment that explores both leadership effectiveness and the underlying assumptions and beliefs that influence behaviour. The LCP360 provides feedback from people who experience the leader's leadership, helping identify strengths, potential blind spots, Creative Competencies, and Reactive Tendencies.
Useful for: Executive development, senior leadership development, director development, leadership transitions, and individual coaching.
Leadership Circle Profile Self-Assessment
A self-assessment that provides insight into leadership behaviours and the mindsets that influence them. Unlike the LCP360, the self-assessment does not include feedback from others. It provides a focused opportunity for leaders to examine their own leadership patterns and identify development priorities.
Useful for: Leadership development programs, individual development, directors, and leaders who are beginning a deeper exploration of their leadership effectiveness.
-
EQ 360®
A multi-rater assessment that provides feedback on emotional intelligence as experienced by the people who work with the leader. It helps leaders compare their self-perception with the experience of others and identify strengths and opportunities across emotional and interpersonal effectiveness.
Useful for: Leadership development, coaching, relationship effectiveness, communication, and people leadership.
EQ-i 2.0®
An individual emotional intelligence assessment that measures a range of emotional and social competencies associated with effective leadership and interpersonal performance. The assessment explores areas including self-perception, self-expression, interpersonal relationships, decision-making, and stress management.
Useful for: Managers and senior managers, individual development, leadership transitions, coaching, and building emotional intelligence capability.
-
DiSC
A practical behavioural assessment that helps individuals understand their own behavioural preferences and recognize the different styles others bring to the workplace.
DiSC creates a shared language for understanding differences in communication, decision-making, pace, and approach, helping people adapt and collaborate more effectively.
Useful for: Team and group development, communication, collaboration, leadership development, and cross-functional work.
-
ViRTUS Conflict Patterns Self-Assessment
A ViRTUS-developed assessment that explores how individuals tend to respond when conflict emerges. Participants identify their primary, secondary, and supporting conflict patterns and explore how their responses may shift under pressure. The assessment is designed to expand awareness and choice rather than label people with a fixed conflict style.
Useful for: Conflict development, courageous conversations, team and group work, cross-functional collaboration, and leadership development.
Performance-Based Leadership Self-Assessment
A ViRTUS-developed assessment grounded in situational leadership that helps leaders examine how they choose their leadership approach based on the competence and motivation of another person in relation to a specific task or goal. It supports greater awareness of how leaders adapt their approach to different people and situations.
Useful for: People leadership, delegation, performance management, developing others, and leadership development programs.
-
The Five Dysfunctions of a Team
A team assessment and framework that helps intact teams examine the conditions that influence their effectiveness, including trust, productive conflict, commitment, accountability, and collective results. The framework provides a useful foundation for teams to explore how their patterns of interaction affect performance.
Useful for: Intact team development, leadership teams, team effectiveness, trust, conflict, accountability, and collaboration.
The Five Dysfunctions of a Team is designed for intact teams. For cross-functional groups or broader stakeholder groups, we select a different assessment or approach based on the development need.
-
Organizational Maturity Assessment
A ViRTUS assessment that provides a broader view of organizational maturity and the systems, practices, and capabilities that support sustainable performance. It can help identify areas of organizational strength, gaps, and priorities for development.
Useful for: Strategic planning, organizational development, succession planning, leadership pipeline development, and organizational growth.
From Insight to Action
Professional
Debrief
Assessment results are most useful when people have the opportunity to understand what they mean in the context of their actual leadership and work. ViRTUS-certified coaches facilitate individual or group debriefs that help participants interpret their results, explore meaningful patterns, and identify relevant development priorities.
Development
Planning
We help translate assessment insights into specific development goals and practical actions. Depending on the engagement, this may include individual development plans, coaching goals, leadership habits, team commitments, or broader organizational priorities.
Integration With Development
Assessments are often most powerful when integrated into a broader development experience. We may use assessment results to shape leadership programs, coaching, team development, strategic planning, succession planning, or organizational initiatives.
Sustained Behaviour Change
Where appropriate, assessment insights can be reinforced through coaching, peer learning, facilitated practice, and ViRTUS Habit Builder, helping leaders turn development goals into consistent behaviours over time.
The ViRTUS Difference
We choose the assessment based on the development need.
There is no single assessment that tells you everything you need to know about a leader, team, or organization. Different tools answer different questions.
Our approach begins with the outcome you're trying to achieve. We select the assessment or combination of assessments that will provide the most useful insight, then connect the results to coaching, facilitated development, leadership programs, strategic planning, succession, or organizational work.
