Cathy Beazley

Cathy Beazley started her career in the film and television industry working for indie production companies in New York City. From 1999 to 2007, she landed a role at The Walt Disney Company and eventually became the Head of Business Development for ABC News Digital. She launched the first live breaking streaming news channel and executed partnership agreements with major distribution outlets. In 2003, she accepted the role of Director of Strategic Business Planning and Development at ESPN Inc. where she was responsible for developing the initial gaming strategy at the company.
Leveraging her significant experience in technology, she joined Microsoft Corporation in 2011 and spent 6 years in an executive-level business development and strategy role focused on the console, PC and mobile platform initiatives. Cathy successfully developed the Minecraft licensing strategy and closed deals with major media/entertainment partners including Disney/Lucas, Marvel Entertainment, NBC Universal and Fox. In 2017, Cathy moved to Philadelphia to begin her role as Director of Strategic Business Development at Comcast. Over the past several years, Cathy worked for technology companies in business development, strategy and M&A facilitating significant growth for the industry.
