Tom MacDonald, BA, Mentor
Educated at UBC, Tom attended Law School before leaving to start his first business in 1971. Since that time he has been President, principal, and co-founder of Lawsco Holdings Ltd., an investment company which owned and operated entrepreneurial businesses in publishing, printing, photo-finishing, transportation, tourism, and travel. Tom therefore brings to ViRTUS his vast experience as head of over a dozen business enterprises in their start-up and acquisition mode, and in their subsequent divestiture mode.
Additionally, Tom is the past Chair of the Greater Vancouver Convention & Visitor's Bureau and has been a YPO Forum Moderator and member for nine years. Current business activities include ownership of service based tourism businesses and real estate. Tom is married and has four children.
