Your team increases its competitive advantage when it achieves a higher level of cooperation. A ViRTUS Team Development experience aims to improve individual competencies in order to achieve team goals, encouraging your team to:
A Group is Not a Team
Think of twenty people riding on a public transit bus. They are a group. Everyone gets on and gets off the bus when they want. The riders are self-motivated and not interested in communicating with each other, unless someone does something that bothers them. Each of them is a distinct individual with his or her own purpose. The driver is the only person who knows exactly where the bus is headed. If something happens to him there isn’t anyone who can take his place.
Now think about a team bus. Everyone gets on and off the bus at the same time. There is a lot of communication between team members. They have practiced and played together before, and their long-term objective is to improve individual competencies in order to achieve the team goals. Personal goals and aspirations can be tied directly into the team’s common goal and vision. There are multiple leaders and shared leadership. If something happens to the bus driver, someone else can take over—everyone knows where they’re going.
Team Development experiences take your team to a new level to produce a team that confidently challenges its members to reach new heights of cooperation and commitment.
