Shannon Lawder, Content Director
Shannon came to ViRTUS in 2002, initially as a "Member Elations" Coordinator, focusing on marketing, sales administration, and events. Soon after, she moved into the role of the Value Architect, where she had a hand in everything that happened at ViRTUS. From marketing, branding and image management to day-to-day operations, Shannon was the driving force behind creating consistency in everything that ViRTUS does. Her ability to see the big picture has always been her greatest asset to the team.
Recently, Shannon's role with ViRTUS changed significantly, when she earned her Executive Coaching Certification from Royal Roads University. Today, Shannon's contribution to the ViRTUS team involves managing the development of new content for ViRTUS' library of Intellectual Property to ensure that ViRTUS clients receive relevant, leading edge content to help them build competency in the areas most important to them.
Originally from Toronto, Shannon studied Communications at the University of Ottawa. Throughout her career, Shannon has spent time working in fundraising, event planning, project management and administration in the education, organizational consulting and shipping industries.
