CME Partners with Vancouver-based ViRTUS to Power Manufacturing Executives to Success
VANCOUVER, BC – September 3, 2007 - Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) has partnered with Vancouver-based consulting firm ViRTUS to create 'CME ExchangesTM, powered by ViRTUS'. Unique to ViRTUS, the ExchangeTM model will bring together groups of 10 CME members with an experienced business mentor and trained facilitator, once a month for half a day. The group acts as a personal board of advisors for its members, providing them the opportunity to bring forward the critical challenges and opportunities that are facing them and their business, with a focus on issues specific to the Manufacturing and Advanced Technology industries.
"We are extremely excited about this new partnership," says Werner Knittle, CME BC Vice-President, "This is a unique opportunity for our members to really get to the heart of things and to use their experience to help one another. Often times, we don’t have the time, resources or know-how to take advantage of opportunities that present themselves to us. Being part of a CME ExchangeTM will change that for people."
Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters is Canada’s leading trade and industry association. CME is Canada's longest-standing business association and the nation’s leading business network. CME members include Canada's leading businesses engaged in manufacturing and in the export of goods and services.
