Jacques is an energetic builder, entrepreneur and visionary, with over 30 years of business experience, ranging from direct P & L responsibility, to building leading companies and exciting teams. He has proven competencies in problem solving, team building and the mentoring of high potential employees.
He has broad background and direct involvement in sales, manufacturing, logistics, finance, acquisitions and divestitures, in Canada, the US, Asia and Europe.
Throughout his career, Jacques has successfully:
Attained profitability and market share penetration for a national electrical distributor which resulted in a $12mm turnaround from major losses to breakeven in first year of mandate, and a quadrupled shareholder equity over a ten year span;
Built the highly profitable and largest plastic pipe business in Canada, with sales of over $250mm, produced in fifteen plants, with profits of $35mm;
Led the complex acquisition of a diversified major competitor, whose parent company was in chapter 11 in the USA resulting in an 18-month full payback and the attainment of the dominant position in the Canadian municipal pipe market;
Built a 'state of the art' distribution centre in Montreal to improve customer service and become the unquestioned leader with a 34% market share in Quebec.
Jacques has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Ecolé Polytechnique in Montreal. He is a Professional Industrial Engineer living in West Vancouver and is fluently bilingual (French and English).
